i upgraded for bfbc2 earlier this year and these are my current system specs.

Q6600 @2.4ghz
4gb ram
gtx260

please can you give me some advice for a new card to make the most of bfbc2 and vietnam when released.

I'd say a GTX 460 is a good buy for that. You might wanna look into getting a new CPU cooler and overclock that - BFBC2 is very heavy on CPUs rather than GPUs.

i can afford to upgrade the cpu as well. i have the following mobo and i'm not confident overclocking btw.

asus p5k pro (skt lga775)

can you recommend a cpu to balance with the GTX460.

There is absolutely no reason to get Q8400. That is bad upgrade. Invest the money in cooler and overclock that CPU.

He has quad already and moving to 266mhz higher at stock with tiny caches (bad for gaming) is just dumb and waste of money.

Oh shit I read that as E6600, sorry, yeah no point in upgrading. DU, the Rev 2 is quite good, even on quads actually.
