I have absolutely no idea... I think once theyre developed is when they hurt. I had a CT scan done and I didnt have any more in me. I know that the part that makes them hurt is their going along your intestinal system and into your bladder. That part makes you want to scream

I assume it's a build up of sticky stuff at first and starts to harden out once it blocks your digestive system allowing it to disappear.

TBH I believe it's safe to say a kidney stone is probably even more painful than child birth.
