I would never live in the financial district, but the upper west or east side? Fuck yeah.

Of course, those houses (or whatever they're called) probably run for like 2-5 mil each.
My dad had an apartment on both sides at one point or another when I was a teenager. Had an apartment down in Chelsea too. Apartments are overpriced for the amount of space you get, you have to worry about your neighbors, and it's even less of a social environment than the suburbs are. Why pay for a tiny apartment when you can have land? I don't get the allure at all.
It's the atmosphere. It's very alluring. To me, at least.

That being said though, I don't see myself ever living in Manhattan besides for college. But I'll be in Albany in 8 months anyways. Ghetto time.
You were very sheltered if you think Manhattan is alluring. Either that, or you watched too much Sex and the City. Manhattan is for women who want to feel important. It's why they make up 2/3 of the population on the island.

isn't there a prison in Ossining? must be a criminal lawyer.
Started out as an ADA for the Prosecutors office in the Bronx and eventually made it to the top. For the past 10 years he has been a civil lawyer. And a really good one. 67 years old and still working. I always pictured myself retired by the age of 60.

Lol, I forgot about that. I just buy cigs in Nassau County for $9.25 a pack.

Nah, most are in their 40s-50s and have lived secluded in their apartments for the past twenty years. Nuts doesn't begin to describe it. Go food shopping late at night in Manhattan and you'll be surrounded by the living dead who talk to themselves constantly to ward off loneliness.

Yeah, I guess a good portion of the world is sheltered too I grew up in suburbia. Most urban cities are alluring to me because it's a different atmosphere. Everywhere except Detroit, Cleveland and most southern cities I'd love to visit. LA, San Diego, Miami (been to, wanna go back), Chicago, etc.

I grew up in Nassau County but I was in Manhattan every other weekend as a kid. I know Manhattan like the back of my hand and to me it's just a crowded noisy place where the residents fucking hate living but will never admit it.

You'll get over your love of Manhattan after you turn 21. Then you'll get bored or turn into an alcoholic.

don't the Giants play in the Meadowlands?

tbh, i visited Manhattan in April 08. one week there, three days in DC. it's the only time i've been on the east coast, and it's the only place i wanted to see at the time.

now i'm going to Florida next week, to see fellow blue-hairs and take in an Oakland football game.

I went probably once or twice a year, sometimes more. I used to go in with my ex when she had FIT classes and just walk around aimlessly. As boring as it can be sometimes, I really do love Suffolk County. Taxes are a bitch (not that I'd know ) but it's a beautiful area to grow up in - especially where I'm from. The crime rate is extremely low, there's a phenomenal college right nearby... it's great.

Though I don't think I'd ever raise a family on Long Island.

Because Macbeth is fucking stupid. The one on the left is the New Meadowlands (no name yet) Stadium, the one on the right is the vastly inferior Giants Stadium. They tore down Giants Stadium.

The Giants and Jets needed a bigger one. So they built in right next to the old one.

New Yorkers can't drive so it's easy for them if the new one is next to the old one.

Y'know, when I saw the new NY license plates, at first I thought they were like DUI or sex offender plates.

Long Island is too fucking expensive. Blame the teachers and cops.
