Should be in the video options
There's like a right click option i think on the desktop icon. You can type what screensize you want it to open as
alt+enter worked.

I know there was a way definitely in XP where I could run BF2 as half screen, I had to type the screen size to use (pixel-wise)

pretty sure you can use a +fullscreen launch option if you launch from steam
