I had just entered a server, normally I join a squad right away but I noticed there was no commander.
So I said what the hell I don't have that badge yet so I'll try it.  Anyway I commanded the rest of that map,
did ok I guess the map was almost over so I didn't get alot of points. Next map starts I become commander
we kick the hell out of the other team so I'm happy. I feel like I'm not bad at commanding.
Than some a**hole that out ranks me becomes commander on the next map and doesn't do anything.
No UAV no Artillary no Supplies nothing so we get our asses handed to use.
Why the hell would someone do that other than to be an asshole.  He was probably on the other team the map
before this one and got his ass kicked so he decided to screw our team over the next map.
Anyone else have a take on that.

yeah, it sucks, but RHIP...

Personally, I'd like to see some kind of functionality in-game that allows people to vote for the commander - if you just kicked someone's arse the round before, usually, people would want  you to be commander again.  If you sucked at it, they'd just discard you like yesterdays newspaper...  just my two cents

I've been hoping for a vote commander in option forever....like you apply to be commander and it pops up on everyone's screen to vote yes or no....i guess that would cause too many problems in game though...that and n00bs always voting no so they can be commander and arty their own troops, heh.

I think the voted required to mutiny against a commander should be a little lower, though.  I've had alot of asshole Commanders that just sucked...tried to fight instead of command, drop Arty's OFF THE FECKING MAP...not giving any supplies/UAV's to the troops...and the mutinty votes would fall short by like 2 or 3.

Unfortunately as said Rank has the higher priority which is unfortunate in some cases.  Most of the time I think im a good commander, and I make maximum use of the assets, but unfortunately there are those of high rank who are quite bad at what they do, which, in a way is quite sad.  Nice ideas though, I mean, in the end if you cant be commander, lead a squad.  In a way its better that having to take such an awesome responsibility, and its nicer to lead troops rather than just sit about twiddling your thumbs doing nothing

lol, actually good commanders will use everything they have to help their team in my opinion.  Yeah, sometimes you can get ones who will use thier assets like theres no tomorrow, but also, you will get those who will ask people if they need help before using them.  The best commanders are vocal ones, who ask if you need help or give you the option to call a ton of HE shells on someones head

The commanders job is to control the battlefield and ensure the common goal is met through the squads.  The commander needs to coordinate all the efforts of each squad.  I rarely see this (mostly because no one ever listens to the commander), so it usually ends up being 'need arty or a crate?'.
