I like to take a humvee and Snipe from the open back, Shot n Scoot, Very mobile, Hard on choppers, I can take on Infantry squads, Run from armor. Plus its fun to spot with the Scope and use area fire with the .50

This may be a glitch in the game, but, if you st and by the western mountain wall by the suburbs (by where the vodnik/HMMWV spawns) you can walk backwards up the mountain wall. This will position you really high so most wont look there. You will have a great shot at the suburb flag to rack up flag defends. No cover provided up there though.
Also in line with "the best spots aren't necessarily the highest/longest view spots on a given map"...
One thing I've had some success with is picking spots that overlook trouble spots. On Karkand, I often go inland as US and snipe back at troops fighting off my team coming in. IN the heat of such battles, they seldom have the time to figure out where a well hidden sniper is.
I've also found some fun spots down between two boxes on Sharqi that allow you to shoot upward almost invisibly at an angle/from the side at snipers on teh roof of TV station. It's very frustrating for them since they have such a wide field of view to search. Be patient...let them go back to their own sniping without finding you...then POP!

Sniper as USMC while the Airfiled on Wake 2007 is still PLA, in the trees on the right or on the hill on the left, at the beginning of the round.

the best snipe spot, guarrenteed on any map is...... anywhere that ur camo blends in, and u have a good FOV. it could be in the middle like Nyte said
Oman, those clusters of homes with a view of the US shore flags. A few allow you to get into the building and shoot from the windows. One roof access too. Spent half the round there before an aspiring enemy decided to hunt me down. Noob naded me insteading of facing me. But not before racking a good amount of kills and timely spottings for my teammates.
Regarding the Mashtur Hotel (aka Planewhore's PKM video site), caught a few nade spammers there last session. Was easy enough to snipe them.

I agree actually. On kark I like to snipe in those little bushes in the middle of the road. People will spawn as snipers and lay down and try to find me like on a hill or building and Im like peeww and hit them from the bushes but then your teammates run you over cause youre laying out in the fuckin road but thats a small detail. Its especially good for the bushes in front of hotel, because you can hit the people coming out of square point (provided the enemy still has it) and the people on top of the building as well. And I have no problem telling people some of my secret spots, because I know if I tell them, they'll go there, and free kills plz? :pNyte wrote:

Im more of a clown strafing "LivelyToaster" kind of guy, I take a shot, do a few paranoid squats and get back up. But I clown strafe for everything.
On Wake the crashed WWII plane near the US artillery island is just close enough to the surface of the water for your to crouch and shoot from no one has ever noticed me there as they usually focus on the actual island.
I try to avoid obvious places, becouse you will be spotted quite easily. If sniping I LOVE those bushes/plants that are here and there, couse it will cover you up nicely.
I often get 14-20 to 1-4 on Kubra Dam. If I dont get arty I stay alive all round. 1 location I cover every flag but MEC airfield and Bridge base. You playing Kubra... I am the one getting you all.
At some angles you can actually shoot through the crane flooring. I've killed a few snipers who thought they were well concealed, but because of graphics 'anomolies' had a leg coming through the floor. As sniper (or any other kit for that matter) also be careful not to lie too close to walls as often you come through the wall. Happens to the guys that hang out on the stairs by the Mosque on mashtuur. Easy pickings!Todd_Angelo wrote:

I agree with [zulu]steviep831 I have shot many players through walls!! I something sticks out you can shoot it.
in my early days when i loved climbing up to the top of the crane, i would get PKM'd thru the bottom of the crane on a daily basis due to the 'anomaly'. i then figured out two things:
1. the end of the crane that looks like its made of wood doesnt allow the 'anomaly' to occur
2. i should find a better place to snipe from than a crane

I find the best snipin map Wake Island, dont know a specific place there, but Wake is made up of bushes and trees so as a sniper u pretty much blend in therebaune2377dk wrote:

I think a nice spot is at Dragon valley by the refinery.
Just to east by northeast, in a "forrest" type of thing. Easy kills, and defending flags.
For a good sniper, revealing any of these spots would just paint a larger target on them. That being said, avoid obvious spots like cranes and water towers, unless you're facing noobs and just want a turkey shoot.

Warlord, tons of roof tops. Absolute city fight, no aerial, the impact of armors are very limited. perfect for snipper.
As far as the military is concerned.. as long as I have been in it, it's just called UAC (Un-Armed Combat) in most situations. Even if you're armed, you still use the same tactics in close quarters fighting. But I would still say CQC becuase of Metal Gear Solid 3, haha.baune2377dk wrote:

I have a few good sniping spots just north of the base west of the construction site (some from secretsofbattlefield.com) If anyone finds me I just go to another one. Some need a vodnik to get to them. The crane at sharqi is good if you know your fighting n00bs. I've had some good rounds up there.
