I was in AFROTC and we had kids doing that all the time. If you stand at attention, with your knees locked, you WILL pass out before 20 minutes.

Nothing is wrong with him probably.

This is a fun experiment you can try at home. Stand outside in the sun, lock your knees, and try your hardest not to move for 30 minutes.
