Are you drinking it with semi skimmed milk?ghettoperson wrote:
5lbs...
Yeah I'm going to try my next one with milk because right now I'm using water. I had PHD strawberry before though which tasted great with water. I don't especially want to take it with milk though because I'm trying to lose not gain weight.
1st rule of losing weight: You're going to have to gain before you lose.ghettoperson wrote:

Do it with milk, my weight hasn't gained more from switching from milk to water. It shouldn't affect you massively.
didnt really go to the gym at all for 4 months, wasn't chest specific.dayarath wrote:

my chest is fucking weeeak after about 4 months of being injured/ill.
how do you get ill or have your chest injured for 4 months, broke a rib?
I cant even remember what took me out 4 months ago, i think it was a combo of work (not having the time) and really bad flu, so I stopped for a few weeks then I think i injured my ankle playing basketball so couldn't do leg stuff, which kinda sucked my will to go. Then a month and a half ago as I was starting to get back into going I tore the muscle in my left thumb leaving me unable to hold weights.
Zim, do I want to take it with semi-skimmed or full fat?
When you say your weight hasn't gained much, you mean put on fat right? I don't really care if I weigh more, I just want to lose some belly fat.

do it with milk, i tried it with water and it wasn't great. But I don't think any protein powder is good with water tbh.ghettoperson wrote:

Yeah it's terrible with plain water. I usually do half milk half water (about 250-300ml total). But that's because I use whole milk so basically I'm just making it semi-skimmed by doing that.
Do you guys also take them on the days you're not working out?
Semi skimmed.ghettoperson wrote:

Yeah.
You're not going to lose belly fat until every other fatty part of your body has been reduced. Belly fat is the last fat deposit on your body and it's a bitch to get rid of, so drinking some semi skimmed milk to help the protein go down better won't affect your progress. Just don't drink, or try not to (alcohol).
I've really cut my drinking down a lot recently. Obviously I have the odd night where I go nuts, but compared to last year it's pretty minimal.
Same here. I can have fun just fine with water or sodas. When I do drink (not even once a month) I keep it on the low side, max 3-4 beers during the whole night. I'm okay with that.ghettoperson wrote:

Oh, I'm nowhere near as disciplined as that. I just get wasted once every two weeks or so, rather than 2-3 times a week.
that sucks man. Generally i tend to avoid any fruit flavored proteins. It might not be bad with milk like suggested, if at the very least it'll thicken it up.ghettoperson wrote:
Yeah I fucked up and accidentally forgot to check the box that changed the flavour, it was on Banana by default.
It still tastes pretty rancid, but better than before. I might see if I can sell it to my flatmate for cheap and get something different. What flavours can't you go wrong with, then?
anything chocolate. be careful with vanilla.
Yeah, I've just learned the vanilla lesson. Bought 2kg of the stuff 2 days ago... but it's alright with semi skimmed milk.
GN vanilla is alright, but can be sickly
I'm doing my legs and shoulders tomorrow, will this workout hit the main muscle areas for these parts?
Squats
Lunges
Leg curls
Seated calf presses
Seated shoulder presses
Side lat raises
Reverse flyes
Upright rows

Shoulders look okay. You're missing hamstrings in legs though.

You're missing deadlifts. Other than that it's good.Jaekus wrote:

I do the Arnold Press: http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Del … Press.html as one of my shoulder exercises and it's one of the best. Up to you though, those exercises are all good.
odd combo no? legs and back makes more sense to me.
Thanks
I thought deadlifts were a lower back exercise though.
This is what I did on my back/bi day:
Bicep curls
Hammer curls
Incline DB curls
Concentration curls
Bent over single arm rows (flat bench)
Deadlifts
Bent over DB rows (standing, both arms simultaneously)
Lat bar pulldown
Should I do deadlifts both days, or move them to my legs day?
And I'll give the Arnold press a go instead.
