no offence, of course. and maybe im biased. but it's just that every science/maths 'hosted' party ive been to has been a real drag. but perhaps that's just because i'm an arty sort, so i like 'arty' parties, i.e. with good music, good settings, good ambience, a varied and interesting crowd. most science/maths parties i've been to this year have either been 'average joes' (in the fashion/music sorta sense) just binge drinking, or awkward events with geeky kids trying to mingle and socialize with dutch courage. the music kids (classicists that they are) seem to fall into this scientific category, too. literally some of the worst parties of my 3yr uni experience: it's like band camp, only they're more obnoxious and smug.Bevo wrote:
