OK well I'm going to bed I figure within 12 hours I'll be able to play with my new toy. JUst gotta get through my health exam and, worse, sleep. god damn I hate sleep sometimes.

Opens you up for jobs in Border Security, the TSA and Customs... I mean, I guess if you want a job like that, go for it.

Some buddy of dad was in border security. He got retired a few yars ago at 50 and now owns a vineyard somewhere in southern europe and doesn't need to worry about financial issues for the rest of his life. Guess he did his job well.

Yeah the music school is pretty neat. They've also got history of rock (class that nearly everyone took, was always full), history of classical, and I think maybe a few others.



Hell, on the last day of class the teach let me bring in my PS2 and Rez going as far as discussing electronic music in videogames. It's just too bad it was a 6-week (2-classes-a-week) course. I'd rather have it be a year-long thing. Also apparently if you take the course during the regular year, with the regular professor (the summer class was taught by a TA going for a PhD), there's a make-your-own-beat/song assignment

matty we had literally the same thing... look back at my last post.

there's an 'optional unassessed' piece to create your own sound-art/field-recording/music and have the prof (as i said, one of the leading music reviewers around) review your piece. very neat opportunity. it was also a short, one-term course. im doing my final assignment for it over xmas, which is taking a whole lot of thought and effort.
