yeah, B lived there for 4 years before I met him. So, I have been informed of the realities of living there...plus when we went to visit his friends for 3 weeks I saw a centipede that was like 7 or 8 inches long...IN THE HOUSE...and I am NOT a fan of horribly huge insects so I might not make it in a warmer climate anyway.

yeah, Hilo is where B's friends live. They work up at the Gemini Observatory. It is too tropical/rainforest for me(this is where the scary bugs are).
