Just googled, they play 501, it's not called countdown over here though, everyone just knows it as 501, 301 is normally played in pubs etc though

how do you keep score? is there like a dry erase board or electronic counter? or is it just up to the drunks in the pub to remember?
Flipcharts, it's kept by officials at big tournaments like this etc, at the pub we just use a blackboard + chalk or a dry erase board.
