Car Smell.

So, recently i've noticed that my car smelled like well...piss.
I'm pretty sure no one pissed inside the car, as i can smell the piss only if the AC is on, esp the windshield one.
I have some theories:
a) There are 3 cats that live around our condo (we have a small condo garden thing, next to where we park the cars) and i've noticed that they often take a nap on my bonnet. So i'm guessing maybe they pissed on my car.
b) Some asshole did actually pee on my car
c) there is a rotten fish somewhere
d) someone hid a horse's head in my car.

Anyone know how do i get rid of the smell, maybe the ac air filter or something, i don't know
i'm not really a car expert.

I do have perfume for my car (that one that goes on the ac), but its annoying that as soon as i turn on the ac i get nose raped by piss smell.
And i don't like stuff dangling from my mirror.

I'm not car expert, but I'd try and find the area the smell is coming from first, check areas a cat would piss. Then if you can clean it, wash it down with something strong.

And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.

Take the car to a workshop and change the air filter. Before a new one is installed, ask the dude to wipe in there. After that get some repellent from a store and spray it on your car or cover the intakes for the night.

It's not the air filter that needs changing; you need to ask for the *in-cabin air filter*, there's a big difference. Honestly, you can do it yourself, its really easy and quick. Generally (at least in my Jetta, by the passenger firewall) it's located somewhere near the firewall inside the engine bay, and its hidden and not obvious unlike the air filter.

They usually don't cost more than a regular air filter... no more than $20. I'd expect some shops to install it for no labor charge as its really easy if you don't want to do it yourself...

A rat had made a nest in my mom's Opel Vectra engine. One time I was kicking this bone alone the sidewalk on my way home, I left it about 200m from the house, and the next morning it was in my mom's gearbox and she couldn't get the car into any gear

I'm pretty sure there is no rat in the trunk or the bonnet as i checked them liek three times already.

It is most likely mould and damp in your A/C filter. Happened to my rents car and make it smell like piss as well! Isnt too hard to get it changed. But you might want the whole A/C system to be cleaned to properly flush it out
