Okay, so it took me ages but I finally got awarded my Basic Knife. However, how long do I have to wait for it to appear in my BFHQ stats? I have waited 24 hours and nothing yet, has anybody else had this problem. Will I have to get another 7 IAR..........

If not, you will have to get another 7 IAR. But look at the bright side; you need 7 IAR for the vetran also, so you could get basic at the same time.

That depends on the flow of information from the server you played on towards EA, did you finish the round you played when you got it ? Have experienced other players that left the round early and the awards never apeared - been seing that more often lately, hope i`m wrong about that one.melmacbrooks wrote:

I always plays the rounds to an end and wait for the new to start before i disconnect - just to be sure !

But as Erwin_Rommel188 said, the veteran badge is also 7 IAR so you'll get them both at the same time.

I think you need to have 50 knife kills (total) before the round begins to get both basic and veteran with the same 7 kills in a round....Sambuccashake wrote:

Don't sweat it, I realize it seems tough when you are going for it the first time (I was all excited, chest pounding, etc.). But after a while you will start to realize it is easier than you think...remember the UAV is your friend. Snipers and others who are too focused on targets are easy kills...

It says that you only have six global kills with the knife. Maybe the server that you got the seven knife kills in that round hasn't updated yet. Who knows it might never and you have to go for it again but it's cool just get the 50 total and just get basic and vet at the same time. If that's you that is.... If it's not you could you provide your PID so that we could do some cross referencing between different stats site?

If it has been over 24 hours then its almost certainly because you immediately quit the round having got it. You must play out the round for the score to register - i did this a couple of times with some high scoring rounds

they kept spawning at spawn so i thought..why not? might as well get some award.
the comm kept coming back as a commander instead of someone more..useful against a cheap-ass medic looking for his vet knife, when i left the spawn point..i said "Thanks for the vet knife badge! ^^"

Just a tip: try to kneel down when you knife, seems to be more accurate. Another tip: If you're in Karkand alleyways, lay down on a dead enemy. Sometimes medics come running and diving to save their buddy and don't see you laying there so sometimes they just come to you and all you have to do is stab away. That's how I got my expert. Full 64 Karkand

Basic was tough (cus I was a n00b at knifing). Veteran was tough(Never could find anyone to knife in time).
Expert was surprisingly easy.
Found a group of 3 support guys laying near a bush on the mainstreet of karkand... Dove into the middle of them and started slashing. Got all 3. Low and behold 2 medics come along and dive into the pile. They couldn't see me cus of the bush. I just kept swacking away. Racked up like 17 kills in the 2 minutes before I finally got shock paddled by accident. Was laughing so hard I about pissed myself.
Found one other schmuck that I ran at and got my 18th and expert

I got Basic Knife on a new account in one life. I was at the south-east house at the South Base CP on Wake, and killed people as they spawned. It was hilarious because they kept trying to kill me but missed.
As for the delay, sometimes EA servers are slow on weekends and at night, though if you don't get the badge on your stats in 12 hours, it's not coming. Stick it out when you get a badge and finish the round. Make sure if you're playing on a high point server that you have at least 2 hours of time to dedicate to BF2.

I'm still waiting. Can honestly say I've never played certain ways to get badges. If it happens it happens.
i'm experiencing something similar. i racked up 43 sniper kills. i had just a little more than 100hrs with that kit before that round started. i didn't even get an in-game notification after 35 kills which i thought was rather odd. it registered my kills and playing time but never gave me the award. i hope i don't have to try again. i've never experienced anything like this either.
I think you need to start the round with the 100hrs already. Then get the kills.
