Assembling a PC is no harder than playing with LEGOsMekstizzle wrote:
Building a PC from scratch is surprisingly easy. I took my time as it was the first time I ever built one, there were some nerves, but overall it's nothing difficult or special. Did this a few days ago.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II 555 Black Edition (3.2 Jiggahertz)
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3
GPU: PowerColor HD5770
RAM: G.Skill RipJaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3
HDD: 500GB Samsung F3
PSU: OCZ 500W StealthStreamX
and some old IDE DVD-RW drive and a generic ATX case that does the job. IDE cables are such a bitch lol, I should've just spent the extra cash on getting a new SATA drive just to save me the hassle of handling that shit.
All for about 370 quid.
Gonna get a new 1440x900 monitor soon.
No way, he got an AMD CPUburnzz wrote:

If an i5 is outside of your budget, and even an i3.. I think you would be better off just waiting longer and saving up the money for it..Mekstizzle wrote:
i5's are out of my budget, I could've stretched for an i3 maybe. Even then I'd have rather than got an AMD quad core instead.

I have no idea about AMD cpus, but I think you would do well to get at least an i5 to do justice for that 6970BRiiNDED wrote:

8600GT will be used in a mod me and my cousin are going to be doing some point soon.
The current CPU Cooler is the standard AMD btw.
No printer.
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Already know about the Tri-Channel RAM too. Overclocking and unlocking will be done soon after new years.
