cause we have the best electronic-club culture in the world. london and berlin, especially. electronic music culture is born here.

shit like dubstep then trickles across the pond to places like america where you can have faggy 'rave' events with knockoff copies

but it'll never reproduce the dancehall-dub venue vibes of south london
rusko, pendulum, nu:tone, ed rush/optical, etc.  I guess that's knockoff copies...
every single person in the UK dubstep scene that produces, dj's and works for labels hates rusko

he's the guy that packaged dubstep into a faggy jersey-shore friendly form and sold it to the states... sounds nothing like LDN dub

pendulum? nu:tone? hahaha are you serious?

ken i thought you had a clue when it came to electronic music

i mean, i don't think electronic music is bad, it just doesn't get me going. I guess it's like modern art, some people appreciate it, some can't.

not a big fan of pendulum personally.  I was just listing the artists at the event as a retort to your "knockoff copies" statement.  It's either that or I sit in a room thats playing trance and mostly shitty house.

I'm not too big a fan of a lot of electronic music.  I'm really picky. I have to wade through tons of shitty electronica to find good stuff.  It's a pain sometimes.  Even for dubstep, I kind of lean towards the really hard evil stuff as opposed to the more melodic.

Well the UK lot and Euros in general talk a lot about clubs and such. Perhaps it's that I just don't live directly in Chicago or a major city like that, but I generally don't hear a lot of people going out to clubs or whatever the hell we have, at least not the folks in a college town unless you're in LA or NYC.
i don't live directly in chicago either but tons of people go clubbing in the chi-area.

unless you're in a college in the middle of nowhere like urbana-champaign

And techno sucks as much as disco did. Can't believe people are still into it.

im openly mocking it, because it's not dubstep at all

most of that 'raw hard shit' you talk about has neither dub nor 2-step elements

just a term appropriated by the 2010 faggot-equivalent of ravers with pacifiers in the 90's

congrats though you're super cool and super relevant!

No it's actually just a sound that I like that progressed from my interest in the local DnB scene.  Your coming across as some sort of high and mighty douche with impeccable music tastes.  It might work for some of the impressionable youth that suck off your musical-recommendation teat here, but whatever.  I don't recall ever actually posting any type of dubstep as reference to what I like but of course you know exactly what I'm talking about.

uzi and I have pretty comparable tastes in a lot of music and literature actually.  He's just trying to tell me what kind of music I like and how lame it is but in this case I don't think he has a clue.

Like I said, whateva.  Just ready for New Years to come around already!
