Okay I think after going on six years of this site we have discovered something: We live in different time zones.
There's nothing like a day such as New Years or Christmas to highlight the wanton stupidity of some people. If someone wishes you a Merry Christmas on the 23rd of December or something I very much doubt that you'd sneer at them and remind them, because clearly they need reminding, that Christmas falls on the 25th of December.
Three is no official time zone for this site, there is no point arguing that there is or where the "real time zone is" which everyone should set their clocks to just so they can wish you a happy whatever at the appropriate fucking time. I never knew that cordial greetings and wishes can so offend some people. At the end of the day it's just a greeting, it's not worth getting your panties in a bunch and doing so makes you look like a raging twat.
Now living in New Zealand I'm in the time zone that's furthest ahead. Believe me when I say this is not something I hold above anyone. It seems though that some people feel insulted when I wish them a happy whatever before that designated day has hit their particular time zone. Clarification: If I wish you a Happy New Year there is literally nothing more to it than that. I'm not mocking you. Please treat it as such. This goes for anyone else.
Now have a Happy fucking New Year and if you don't like it you can blow me.
