wanna hear a cool story? I know what marine and PV are talking about because the only part of flying i havn't done is night solo

apparently i'm a natural at flying

now there's a scary thought
i did night solo by mistake....

i was doing my day solo but was so delayed out of sanford, florida due to all the international departures by the time i got to west palm beach the sun was setting.  didnt really think anything of it so i headed back to sanford.  well it was night by the time i got south of disneyworld and got a little disoriented.  luckily i saw a bridge that points right at the airport if you are coming from that direction so i made it.  instructor was pissed.

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
looooool. i was flying one of these http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grob_G_115 from RAF Cottesmore (this was after a day of calibrating cannon sights the oldschool way and testing hover time the old school way (Cottesmore used to be RAF 1&3sqd Harrier so this makes sense to marine) and it hit like 17:00gmt and they made us come down because ATC knew i wasnt eligable for NF
how did atc know that?  that would have helped me.  i should be dead tbh.

Was close to urban and they'd already had 2 harriers ditched (non-f) within the year (this was april) so they we're being super cautious.

ok so because im so and i'll tell you all. you attach a load of heat sensors to the important parts of a harrier, than stick chains on it wings. then make it hover. when it gets really hot, you stop.

now the average harrier in service (not for much longer ) with the army/ RAF can pull 1m30s of full hover. The average VTOL takeoff/landing demands 1m20s of hover

RAF fuck yeah

Only if you attached a ladder to one of them.

And attached to the ladder was batman.

Attached to batman was a Shark.
