and a lot of profs, to save the hassle of carrying essays to and from their office, just access these online and read them there

Yeah same with my online submitted works. The plagarism checks also pick up on the references though and colour match them so unless you do actually plagarise it's all fine.

I had disiplinary action taken against me by a professor, who believed I had plagarised a vast amount of material in an essay.

Turned out the dumb fuck didn't print the last page of my essay with all the references listed.
