My dad's iPhone is automatically put on 192.168.1.2, which is also the printer IP

Last time this happened, I set his iPhone to a static Ip of .1.55, which brought the printer back but he couldn't get internet on his iPhone that way for some reason, then we set it back to DHCP and it gave him .1.55 still and everything worked so everything was good.  Now it turns out it defaulted back to .1.2, and he's not even here so everybody is fucked on printing.

What can I do to get rid of this and prevent it?

I'll obviously have to set the printer to have a static IP address but will that be enough?  His iPhone doesn't work with a static address apparently.

Make the dhcp range higher on the router; reserve a specific range to be used for static IPs (like one you would use for printer)

check the router settings?

For example, I set up a wireless network at work, for running select audio equipment... of which, one device can only use static IP... I set the DHCP range from, like, 1.1-1.14, and set the mixer at address 1.15.
