I'll be picking up one of those also ... I looked at the Mossberg Tactical .22 but it didn't float my boat like the S&W is doingchuyskywalker wrote:
My rifle, it has been good to me, but it is time to let it go.

Gonna sell it and replace it with one of these

Considering I only ever shoot at targets and for fun, combined with the fact that you can get 5000 rounds for < $200 in .22, that's fine by me. I don't hunt, and if there ever is a zombie apocalypse, we all know you've got to aim for the head and .22 is awesome for that.Finray wrote:
Ewww, .22, might as well throw peas
Plus my other two weapons are .22, so I'm just standardizing.

It looks pretty awesome and compact, like a ToyM4... In a good way...chuyskywalker wrote:

yep, nice ......... budsgunshop is at $375 with free shipping
I've yet to order from Buds, but got close a couple times. CDNN beat Bud's prices. Buds gives free shipping, but charges for credit card use. I always consider the total final price.
CDNN still has the free 522 offer - buy a Sig556 and get a free 522, page 11:

I need to do my AR SBR first, but I've been considering the 556 pistol to SBR or PTR-91PDW (page 9) SBR
I'd have to sell off some stuff to make it work though.... I've had a bit of an itch for SBRs lately.

The style of that one doesn't really appeal to me. Cost is better though, at least.SEREMAKER wrote:

I've ordered probably 4 guns from Buds ... easy as can be ... I don't do my cc bc it seems almost all of them charge some 3%, I do a business check
I don't care for the ejection port on the 522, looks funny.
What about the Umarex H&K 416 22LR?
I haven't heard much about them.
Are they CA legal?

CDNN has been great to deal with. Just give them a call, they'll quickly give you pricing over the phone. They don't bullshit. They can't show their prices for many items because they're below the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). Doing so would get them in trouble with suppliers/manufacturers.SEREMAKER wrote:

the 522 got banned here

trying to get the Valmet M76 before that goes too.
I like pie.
they banned it because they said it was a variant of the 550
because we all know looks like = variant capable of full auto fire
because we all know looks like = variant capable of full auto fire
this coming from the same people that took a year to rework a T97 (with a full machine shop and skilled gunsmiths) so it could briefly fire full auto
so they could decide AFTER IT WAS IMPORTED that it was banned
the ruling is currently being challenged in court as they want to seize them from the people who had bought them already
