I don't think trifle is the quite the right word for it. If mods intervene too much, we're the bad guys and being frivolous with our internetz power. If we intervene too little, then we're not 'doing our jobs' and 'oh please, mods: close this thread!' You're right, the forum is more than one person, but people are trifling with their own power over thread quality. Take some bloody responsibility.
