Service Ribbons

its not too much big a deal, but i was just wondering what the story is with the Mid-East and Far East Service Ribbons. i'm at school so i play once weekly with my friend at an internet cafe. he usually gets more kills because he is a better shot, and i usually go for the team aspect to make up for my bad aim. still, he usually has more points than me.
however the last time we played it i looked on BFHQ just as we were about to leave and i had received both the mid east and far east service ribbons. they hadnt come up during the game, and my friend didnt have them. on ubar it says that u get them for playing for a certain amount of time, but he has played for exactly the same time as me, and has a higher global score. the only thing i really have on him is that i have slightly more badges, and i also have command time whereas he doesnt. i'm 'nzjafa' and he is 'surfpro'. again its no big deal but we both found it kinda weird

The exact requirement are as of yet unknown. These awards are awarded backend, which is why there was no in game message.

Looking at the stats you have 9 more hours of play time on him, so perhaps the global time is something like 30 hours.

i think i have the solution and i thought someone else posted it a little bit earlier in another topic, but i think they can update UBAR. this is the case: i played all the maps before the update, except for FuShe Pass... on the first day of the update, i received the middle east ribbon... but nothing on the far east ribbon.. i played china a while longer in Dalian PLant, still no ribbon... then (3 weeks later, just today...) i read something about playing ALL the maps of china to get the ribbon... so i played FuShe Pass for 10 minutes and YESSSS... received the ribbon immediately. so i think they have to update UBAR on the middle east and far east ribbons: just play all the maps with MEC in it (play with MEC) to receive Middle East Ribbon ... and play all the maps with China in it (play with china) to receive the Far East Ribbon... or is that a wrong conclusion?

that maybe a part of the puzzle, but if that is the only requirement, i should have had these ribbons a long time ago. So, no it has something to do with total playtime, maybe in combination with your theory.
Tell you what, you find someone to oppose your hypothesis. Find a player who does have the ribbons and hasn't played all maps

maybe u sometimes didn't play ranked servers (I mean he played unranked more than you)

maybe yeah, but usually cos we go to the internet cafe together we want to find the same map, so if its unranked then we're both on unranked. weird. ah well everyone eventually gets them, so no worries

I have the far east and mid east service ribbons but i have played over twice as long with the USMC and do not have that service ribbon yet. is that wierd or what.

There is no ribbon for USMC, unless my eye's decieve me. Also, I got these two ribbons after playing as a MEC commander and PLA commander(only about 4 hours as PLA too) for an ENTIRE round. But, that's just me.
