The US government was notified of a heightened terrorist threat and that there was something going on with Al-Qaeda before the attack. Noone could've predicted that this would manifest itself into them hijacking airplanes and drilling them into buildings. Furthermore, your notion here implies that the US government is filled with people who would sacrifice thousands of their own to destabilize the world economy and lose trillions in Afghanistan (a country which until 2010 was believed to have no natural resources at all) and Iraq for.... no gain to anyone but Israel (lol).
Anyone who is not not extremely gullible, hate-filled or just flat out stupid can conclude that this is one big bullshit story. The math simply doesn't add up: Israel has nothing to gain out of making every country (and pretty much every citizen in them) around itself hate Israel even more, they don't need the US wrecking shop next door. It would simply lead to more people supporting organized terrorism through the likes of Hamas, which Israel has been trying to get rid of for the past few decades. Nor do I think that Israel's priorities lie in throwing large bombs on cave-dwellers and tribesmen around the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, but I guess that's just a minor detail to you.
If Israel however truly wanted to eradicate everything and everyone around them, by now they would've surely realised that simply provoking everyone into an all-out war would've been the easiest and quickest course of action. Neither do I think that, if they were planning this in the first place, they would've given back the land which they conquered during the six-day war and the yom kippur war. If anything, Israel has proven that it's quite capable of manhandling the countries around itself.
