I got my first sergeant promotion today ^_^

finally managed to get the scar-l and..

the L96A1!! <3

yay!!

now.. how do i keep myself occupied while going for Sergeant Major?

like.. going for medals/badges etc.

ta for reading this pointless waste of time

i'm so happy i'll +1 the good replies.. and..oh what the heck.. even the bad ones

(edit= i'd like minus karma for this .. cos i'm a polarbearz fan ^_^)

slight problem with the ribbons lol..

cant fly jets for shit.. keep getting owned

all my aviator time has been in the L.G.M. seat of a bomber lol..

and war college (expert team switching) ribbon? haha not a chance in hell lol.

its a long road to SM... so just sit back and maybe start a local game so you can practice flying, say on dragon valley... ALSO as gunner in the jet you can get the aviator ribbon it just takes a pilot that will let you get the targets. Try for that one on cleansweep, with a GOOD pilot to let you drop in slow, so your missles hit what you are aiming for!!!

The L85 is most definitely underrated; it is IMO the most accurate assault rifle if used right.

I spent my time between 20K and 50K practicing my sniping and getting the 100 hours in for my gold badge (mostly) Now i have more trouble missing than i do hitting and i reckon i can kick just about anyones arse when i've got a scope to my eye and i've just finished a crazy shift at work (annoying customers = limitless aggression) I'd definately say if theres a class you don't play all that often then try to stick to that for a while, when the Veteran Support Combat badge was the only one i didn't have i'd only played 4 hours so i spent the next week playing almost exclusively with the M249 and RPK and found myself wondering why i'd stayed away for so long. And if you really do need to continue sniping you really can't do much harm to your KDR while using that shiny new L96, and if you ever need a sniper buddy feel free to add me on XFire

P.S. Just noticed you haven't got your Expert Pistol Badge yet - very good fun to get this badge but the hardest part is just getting the 500 global kills, try some close range sniping and finish off your targets with the peashooter.

Fly the F-15 and SU-34 in single player for a while. It will help you learn the planes. Find a friend who is a good pilot. I got my arieal service ribbon in the right seat of the su-34 thanks to a friend flying for me.

Since then I've gotten better at flying everything but the F-35.

I hit First Sgt a couple weeks ago and have to admit that the feeling of basically having to earn more points than what I have done total to date in the game is discouraging! I finally got to where I am over 50% there and feel a little better. I am going to personally work on getting the 100 hours on a couple kits for Expert Gold. I also need to work on getting my stats up ( I started on a 200ms latency cable connection for the first 4 months) so I figure by the time I do hit Master Sgt I may finally hit a 1:1 KD.

I may also play commander a lot to try and get through this a bit faster and get the time in for those medals and ribbons ...well....like you....no chance on the WCR.

Congrates on the new rank and once we get through this then getting those Silver / Gold Bars will be nuthin !!!

Congrats on the promotion. I remember getting first sergeant in March (for the 2nd time though, lost my old account because of the password. ) And it is off-putting to know that you have a 30,000 points block to go lol, but just keep at it. The points build up pretty quickly really, I'm on 43,000 and it makes you want to get there more the closer you get. Just keep at it, you'll get there eventually. Don't let the huge gap put you off and use the time to get to know other weapons/vehicles/maps/etc better. ^_^

congrats on the promotion, ive been on 1st sg for a bit....if i could play the game whenever i wanted to, im sure id be closer to sgt maj. lol, but the time i get to play its taking time to get there. I got my expert pistol badge the other day, which was pretty sweet. I still have some badges that are the basic, like aviator, helo, air/ground defense and transport. I tried getting the expert explosives the other day, but damn......closest i got to 37 kills IAR was 25, and that was all suicide attacks.....and i hate suicide attacks. But anyway, gj with getting 1st sg........next accomplishement im working for (other than sgt maj.) is getting in my 500 hours to get combat infantry medal, marksman infantry medal, and 100 hrs as assault for expert assault.
