Dunno about you guys, but I'm really excited for it. I love pretty much anything Abrams touches media-wise. And Spielberg with Sci-Fi is (usually) a good mix.

Set in 1979 Ohio, a group of six young children use a Super 8 camera to make their own home movie. One night while filming near a remote stretch of railroad tracks, the children witness a truck collide with an oncoming train leading to a catastrophic derailment. Amidst the fire and destruction, something inhuman emerges.

Almost seems like it's going to be a more violent version of ET.

I won't go near it if it's filmed in the same handicam way as Cloverfield.  Actually I probably won't watch it either way.  Can't say I was blown away by the trailer.
