- Currently doing 10th grade just to get the govt. financial support and pass time until summer where I'll maybe start on a 2year Gymnasium level education to finish the one I had earlier, though I really doubt I'll finish it or even start atm...

This is really sad. Let me give you a tip: You have to finish something. The people knowing exactly what they wanna do in life are a dwindeling minority, most discover their path by walking on another. Was the same for me. So do yourself a favor, take this honest advice from an internet stranger and finish school or get an apprenticeship of some sorts.

20 euros on steam is still expensive for such an old game, and it all goes to activision anyway.
to the above, LURK is a STALKER mod that really improves on the original game itself without adding distracting, out of place or incomplete features. the guns, the movement, the weather, the AI, the hud, the graphics and so on have all been vastly improved.

You can see how the weather has changed by comparing the screenshots at the top of the page with the ones at the bottom of the page.
And yes graphics aside, the improved combat is the main improvement in LURK. Guns are accurate and deadly, and have real recoil that you have to control. Enemy guns are also accurate and deadly. It completely changes how you play the game.

It occasionally goes on sale for far less. Still, I would not feel cheated at having spent full price on it. After all, I pre-ordered the thing.Lucien wrote:

I just bought DEFCON today. There's a bug with the Steam authentication servers, so I was forced to play the demo. That being said, it's still a brilliantly fun game from what I've played. I decided to go for a classic USA vs USSR. I split my fleets up, two of the Atlantic and two on the Pacific, and one submarine fleet for each ocean. As you can see, I got raped in the Pacific, but the AI ignored the Atlantic. They nuked me first, so I nuked Leningrad and Moscow . I lost, obviously.
