I don't know if my Orange account was a rip-off though. My dad was paying 30 francs a month (I think) for 30 minutes free + 100 free SMSs that month and any SMS cost 20 cents and one minute of calling was 1 franc.

Receiving a text was free though.

US, Google Voice = Free text and free calls.

Although the thing I like about GVoice the most is having voicemails sent to me as text. Time saving.
