I have it, but not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.. Might just have to dual boot to play this game.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Too cheap to pirate it. Also, I don't play it anymore without the community patch. Though I'm not sure if I need to play it at all...I 100%'d all the bloodlines.Lucien wrote:

and considering the devs got done in by activision a long time ago you don't even have to feel bad about pirating it!
Some people report that it works on their Windows 7, but I don't know if it's the latest retail or latest community patch.
Here's one of the fixes if it doesn't: http://iain.cx/articles/bloodlines/index.html?part5

You just reminded me of how disappointed I was with that game.
I bought it in the steam sale for £5 & tbh I loved it nice change of pace nice looking smooth I actually really enjoyed only spending a fiver on it tbh.Poseidon wrote:

What was more disappointing is how fast the price plummeted.
I suppose for five it's not bad. I'm just glad I returned it in time to get a pretty big return for a trade in.Monkey Spanker wrote:

One very bleak screenshot and then 5 extremely dark ones where I do a sneak attack.
I'm so glad they didn't make nights that dark in vanillaSpidery_Yoda wrote:

I'm fed up of games where 'night' is just a slightly greyscale version of daylight. I had a mod for Crysis where if you didn't have a flashlight or night vision goggles on during night you couldn't see 2 feet infront of you.
It was glorious.

ok - DooM, maybe doom II - but doom 3? you should check out now, uninstall your hard drive. doom 3 isn't that old, and it brought positional lighting which kept every other developer in the game (sorry ) for every other title . . .Finray wrote:

Those screens are with night vision by the way (but with the flashlight off for stealth purposes). Pretty much pitch black without it.

He'd betrayed some guy and stolen artifacts. A different stalker gave me a mission to kill him. I guess it was a bit harsh, but it's a harsh place in the zone.
Such is life in the zone.

August 2004? Damn. I must be thinking of the older ones. Guess I just missed it.
Yeah it came out around the same time as HL2. You're definitely old enough to have been around during it's time.
Anyway so I was playing STALKER, and I got to the Red Forest. Now there's a part where a Sniper shoots at you from on top of a hut and carridge of some sort, and you can go into the forest behind him or just keep going down the road. I've never gone into the forest before. The reason was I'd walk up to that sniper spot and be hit by a huge dose of radiation and just assume the entire forest was radioactive. But just now I realised it was just the metal he was on.
Seems peaceful so far. A twirly tree and a crashed helicopter.
Then out of nowhere I get pummled to death by a bloodsucker.
I loaded from the entrance to the forest again and took a different route inside it, this time I fought fake dogs, a crowd of zombies, and whole bunch of snorks. I think that bloodsucker came and took a swipe at me at one point but he ran away again. While I was surrounded by dogs and shooting entire mags at them I saw him run up to me and I just assumed I was going to die again. But I climbed some rocks and he didn't come back.
Anyway after all that I found this. I've always wondered if there was a way up to this place but never found one.
Now I need to find out where to find the combination.
