I just Re-installed it, it worked..

BUT: NEW PROBLEM, DUE TO THE FUCKBAG OF A HACKER

Im banned from PunkBuster, well thats just fucking great..

Now inorder to play BF2 at all on ranked servers, i have to get a new Computer, new bf2 cd key, and a new fucking IP...

If i change location of my computer, will my IP change?

That's a global ban, which means you only need a new CD key. A hardware ban would mean a new computer.

I'm not about to post a guide on how to change an IP address. We have enough headaches around here, don't need to add more.

However, I will tell you that you have a different IP from yesterday. So I doubt this is an IP ban.

For the IP, it's a lease from your ISP. My ISP gives dynamic IPs but the lease is like 6 months, so if I want it to change I just give them a call and they end lease and I renew my ip (router side). Now that being said, if you aren't using a router. start=>run=>cmd at the command prompt type ipconfig /release (releases the ip) and then ipconfig /renew (but ISP lease time still applies and you may get the same ip again unless you speak with them) phew.

I don't know how far along you are, but I felt it necessary to inform you that, that error message you are getting is infact legitimate. I remember a few months back, someone had the same problem here. I was in doubt of the error message myself, but again, it is legit and as someone pointed out, most likely a joke in part of the programmer (or bad english).

Anyway, I think the solution to the problem was something to do with updating punk buster.. I don't remember, sorry. But if your being honest, I would sincearly try to appeal this issue with PB, as spending $50 for a new CD Key for some screwup doesn't sound very appealing.

Its very unlikely that someone 'guessed' or keygened your CD Key and used hacks with it, but the rare possibility is there which may have caused PB to do the same thing to you as it may have occured to the person who may have stole your key. But again, pretty rare.

my buddy just did a format of his computer and installed bf2, joined a server and was banned for the same shit. Punkbuster said he was hardware permabanned from all of their servers for a hack. HAHA man what a bummer.

yeah, it sucks, i just gave up and started to play bf2 version 1..

LOL! i was called a hacker this morning cuz i couldnt help myself by bunny hopping with C4, i owned everyone!!
