New Mobo and CPU

Hey guys,
So my 9800GT decided to fry on me, so I went out a picked up a new GTX 460, which is absolutely wonderful. The only problem is the fact that I still have an ASUS P5N D and a E8400. I know these are bottle necking it like crazy so I am going to upgrade both. I would like an i5 processor (max budget is $300 for these two items) and either 1155 or 1156 socket motherboard. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

But in my opinion you would be better off saving some more money (~$400 all up would probably do it) so you can grab a better mobo and a i5 2500.

Overclock now and save some money and buy better stuff later IMO.

Not really. Get a new cooler, OC it to about 3.8, and you'll not be a lot off an i5 in most games/apps. Definitely not $300 off, imo.

problem with getting a 1155 mobo is they use ddr3 memory, and your current one uses ddr2

1155 and 1156 both use DDR3 right? Shit, that's expensive, getting RAM, mobo and cpu.

So I decided that I am probably just going to OC my processor to about 3.8 and wait for another couple of months until I can upgrade to the better components. Picked up a Noctua today, should keep my CPU pretty cool.
