Looking for a laptop backpack. Laptop isn't too big, only 14". Anyone have any recommended brands/laptop backpacks that you have used? Would be appreciated.

I was looking at the RBF-540L by Rosewill on Newegg, which was on sale for like $30 or something, but waited too late and is now discontinued. Rosewill told me another shipment will be going to Newegg by the end of April, so I may just use my old backpack and wait if I don't find any other good ones that look better than the Rosewill.

Thanks.

Check out SwissGear by Wenger laptop backpacks.  I've got a few and they are well built and fit well.  You'll hardly notice that you have them on.

This one is my work horse.  I carry two laptops in this one.

3 of my friends have backpacks from SwissGear. With a 14" laptop you may have to stuff some foam/other padding in the bottom of the laptop compartment...it's quite large.

Mine is apparently by JanSport. I'd recommend it. It fits my 13.5% perfectly, could happily fit 14% I imagine. When I bought it they had a few different sizes, for for different sized laptops.

I chose a relatively small one. I can fit my laptop and a few books/pads of paper, a bottle of water, my bike lock and maybe some food. But that's about it.

I just bought it from a local computer shop. Serves well as a general all purpose backpack. I use it daily. I even use it for skiing where rather than putting a laptop in the laptop compartment I put a camel back (or whatever you'd care to call them - a water container with a hose, for drinking).

Dunno if they have that brand in the US but mine was only £15 and has lasted very well.

If I were you I'd go look in store. Take you laptop with you and see which ones it fits in.

I have this one: http://www.amazon.com/SwissGear-SA1908- … =pd_cp_e_3

It's easily the best backpack I've ever owned. Use it for everything. Just books, books + laptop (15" MacBook Pro), going home from college for the weekend, trips up to Albany/DC, etc. It's very comfortable.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll have a look around and see which one I like best.
