with 1 7900 gt and a A64 3200+ i can run 8xSAA and ultrahigh settings at well over 60, you sure something else isn't wrong?beerface702 wrote:

Anyone with a 7900 actually moved to the top of the crane on Sharqi and looked down at the same point?
So far i've only noticed that low quality texture bit happen there.

Photoshop does not use any 3d acceleration of any kind. Your photoshop will run exactly the same whether you have SLI 7800GTs or a Geforce 2 MX.stryyker wrote:

That picture would actually be 16player Gulf of Oman, not Sharqi.
I have a 7800gtx 256 which is capable of playing on ultra high. I do not however use these because it makes the load times so much longer. All low settings loads terribly fast, but looks like hell. So I stick with medium in game settings at 1280x1024 and out of game 4xaa.

Yep, was testing it under single player on oman.
download the latest drivers off nvidia's website and reinstall them just to be sure everythings up to date.

Can't say i've particularly noticed anything else like this, all my settings are maxed out. And my previous cards I didn't notice that sort of thing. (previous cards in order, BFG 7900GTX OC, Sapphire X1900XTX, Powercolor X1900XTX.. see http://forums.bf2s.com/viewtopic.php?id=22561 for why)
This is on a Gainward Bliss 512MB 7900GTX.
I think it may be overzealous drivers, like the Catalyst AI (on ATI cards) thing.

I got refunds, I obviously returned them as faulty.
On the plus side, I recently got a 10% pay increase at work so things are comfortable at the moment.

I have the ASUS 7800 GTX TOP and it is really clean. The question I have for anyone is do use the AA 4x settings in-game and leave the "Application-controlled" settings on the card display control panel or vice-versa?

On an alternate note, anyone here used the ultra high settings? When I enabled them I got a few graphical oddities like the little stone walls on oman being somewhat funky and psychadelic.
just saw this post...I to have the same card everything max and I got those weird lines tracing off the car to nowhere in space...The card is a XFX 7900GT and 2gigs, 2.3 ghz, and raptor HD. The only thing I was playing around with was the overclocking with coolbits. After doing some looking I realized that I had my PCI express overclocked in the bios. Back it down to 100 and it has not happened sense. I have the A8N-SLI Premium. Go take a look if you have not fixed the prob.
