lag issues with 7900 gt 256 mb nvidia

p4 3.0 Ghz
1gb ram
100 gb sata maxtor
nvidia 7900 gt evga 256 mb pciex16

I run on about all medium and get like 40 fps in 64 slots servers and 30 fps too and sometimes 60 fps. I run on all high i get about same fps.

I got all latest drivers for everything. Is the issue cause of the ram?? it doesn't stutter it's just low fps hmm.

Edit: it stutters like 5 times a game thats about it

check what background programs u have running, shut down any uneccessary ones, this could help. When i run teamspeak it causes these intermitent lag periods

I have like 70 mb of ram usage and like 15 procccess ruinning so thats not the issue./

I have the same card and noticed some lag too. I added some extra memory (from 1 GB to 2 GB) and no more lag. You may want to re-evaulate your memory situation and the processes running while you play BF2. It's a great card, enjoy.

Yeah memory usage aint the issue, but as soon as it suggested u need more memory that becomes the solution

ram has nothing to do with fps. Textures eat up the most ram if not all. You are very very low on your fps. Adding another gig of ram will get rid of choppiness but not increase your fps. Does your card play any other games fine on high?You should have everything on high 4xaa and 16xaf on 1600x1200 and still get 60 fps. Run 3dmark06 and see what score you get.

i ran all settings in graw all high and antistrophic at 8x and get 50-60 fps :]
