i don't know why songhua gets a back rap from some, i think it's a great map that i encounter on far too few an occasion on rotations (might just be bad timing on my behalf). love the infantry fights over the woodland, it's awesome.
Songhua Stalemate is my most played map as well .
Had a "campaign" sometime ago where I only played Songhua to get to know the map better. When you only play a map once it comes up in the map rotation you only use the same old tactis for that map.
Did the same thing with Fushe Pass before that, and before my involuntary break from BF2 I played as much Zatar as I could.

How the hell do you like Stalemate? It's so fucking foggy.. and I keep getting stuck between the damn trees. I also fall off the sides of mountains, and I can't get back up. >.<
Boat tactics, simply don't drive them on the road. Using the boats, most CPs can be approached from a completely unguarded side. I've also learned how, where and when to swim on that map. I've been thinking about making a post where I point out paths on a map but can't be bothered.
Wait a second, I get a -Karma because I get stuck in those trees? Is it my fault DICE put the trees in little groups so you'd have to go AROUND them? I just try jumping through them thinking it would be faster.. but it wasn't.
I kind of like songhua... the only reason I have karkand as a favorite map is because everywhere I go it seems to be playing alot (no not 24/7 karkand unless buddies are there)

I like Songhua, the only reason I stopped playing it is because of a bug i have on it. Like every 30 seconds i get this beeping noise on it. BTW: back in my early days FuShe Pass was my favortie map. Curse you Karkand, curse you.

You're right about the trees. Once my SL was among them and I managed to spawn underwater (the trees was above me) and died instantly . There are also hill sides on all maps that says to you "hey, you can get up here, no need to walk around" and then you waste you sprint for 10 minutes trying to get up that hill. There is a place on Songhua where you actually can get thrrough but it can take forever, and sometimes I simply give up.

Yes, the APCs are plenty (a bit too plenty) but they always take the roads. If you stay off the roads you'll be fine.
I can't believe more armor whores don't love stalemate. I have better luck there then on Karkand with an APC. Anyone looking to up thier repair points, armor kills, and AT mine kills should be stalemate. I bet 400 or my 900 repair points came from Stalemate. Giive it a shot.
Soon as that pile of wank comes on, I bash ESC repeatly until it unloads the resources.
