starting my training for a triathlon for charity, so I need to get really decent running shoes, can anyone recommend anything?
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
Best ones are the ones adjusted to your feet. Everyone has different feet.Camm wrote:

Get yourself in somewhere that is reputable and employs gait analysis, i know that DW Sports are a multinational store thats started to use it but i still wouldn't trust their staff to use the technology correctlyCamm wrote:

For anyone else who hates the taste of tinned tuna, I've been mixing mine with a splash of mustard, ketchup and balsamic vinegar and it tastes great.

So after months of arsing around in the gym, I've finally started the SL5x5.
How much does an olympic bar weigh? I hope like 50kg otherwise my numbers are embarrassing.
Do four to six weeks of quality strength training (the SL5x5 or something similar) and then integrate plyometric exercises into your workout.[-DER-]Omega wrote:
does anyone have any experience in training vertical jump? would the SL5x5 be a good place to start for someone who's never done strength training?
Basically you just have to adapt to it. You can use a pad, but it reduces the stability of the lift. You also can hold the bar on your upper back if you so desire, which changes the focus of the lift slightly from the quads to the glutes.ghettoperson wrote:
In that case I managed 40kg benchpress and squat, and 30kg barbell row. How do you get around squats being super uncomfortable on the back of your neck?
