part of the fun is building and thriving in survival mode with tons of enemies after you. you feel more accomplished that just playing like it is MC classic

Digging through tunnels is one thing. Building giant structures is another. If you want to leave dark corners in your stuff for monsters to spawn and add a challenge, that's great, but I'm still not extra impressed at a megastructure if somebody decided to spend several extra hours gathering the stone, wood or whatever themselves.

I don't even see why I should be. It's as pointless as any time-investment achievement. The final result isn't even used to fight anything, so the legitimacy of the materials is irrelevant.

Basically what Roger said. The end result is the same, so I'm impressed with the structure: just not the time spent mining.

First, I paid for Minecraft. Second, "I spent ten grueling hours cleaning parts and inhaling acetone fumes to make my car run when I could have saved both time, money and my lungs just replacing them with fifty bucks worth of stuff like everyone else.

Okey so, i built this soccer stadium in Menzo's server (i dont even like soccer, but i did it anyway). Its quite small, so i felt like we needed something bigger with a bit more class.

I have the base done, i might make those columns a bit higher. I still have to decorate it, make seats, a balcony and do something cool with the entrance.
I really love Ancient Roman and Greek architecture, so I'm hoping to make it look like something out of that period (I'll probably fail, but i think it will still look cool).
