They make the cheese slices too thick and it's much quicker with a knife.

But, but, them crumbly cheeses are so good.  Blue cheese for example.  But then again, not meant to be sliced thinly, or paned for that matter.

I don't slice cheese, I just grab a 1kg block and wolf it down in one sitting.

As a kid my Grandma always had blocks of cheese. We'd butter up some flatbread and lay cheese slices on top for breakfast. Got to drink coffee too. She told us that in Sweden they didn't care if kids drank coffee with breakfast. We thought it was so cool...lol

Edit. Would of voted Have used but do not own.

I've dealt with the same exact thing with lots of cheeses. That's why you slice down towards the board. Failing that, wire still works better, and is easier to clean than a knife coated with sticky cheese.

My grandma gave me coffee beans to chew on. I think she was trying to stunt my growth.

Slicing cheese is not that hard
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Read reply, then post. Helpful. I'll keep that in mind for the future
