thats how i got my basic knife, but i got my basic pistol using it as a sniper rifle, and it worked lol!

I can never tell if my flashbangs have had any effect I see the double crosshairs and then go after people, but they always seem to be able to get me. I don't risk it any more.
Another thing to use while Assault is the smoke grenade. Sure it dosn't bind your opponent, but if you create a thick enough fog, you can get close enough to your opponent that his gun wil be next to useless and you can take his life with the personal touch. Smoke Grenades rule on Karkand, I am just figuring that out.

This tactic is really effective on Karkand, toss one up into the hotel area, so it's blast dosen't effect you, then scurry up an knife away. There are always some poor fools up there trying to defend, and nothing quite says "I love you" like a 7 inch blade in the ribs.

agree with most of the tactics here...i just got both my basic and my vet knife badges today on karkand. i usually just wait for a chance...fav victims are people who are dead waiting for medic to come and revive them, then just run up while they're both on the ground and stab away...2 kills with knife...
also, best to play on 64 player map with only few people on....around 20 or so....

3 shots from the pistol to head kills them. It's 6 or 7 shots to the rest of the body to kill them. Unless your using the sniper rifle on the body, 1 shot, then 1 pistol shot to finish them off. You just have to be quick at switching weapons to do it.bulletsinurface wrote:

I'm going to have to remeber to use the flash bangs a lot more when I go for my expert knife badge. I love using them on tanks for AT and Spec Ops guys to blow them away.

Pistol = 60 damage to head = 2 head shots, not 3 (try it out in single-player)
=20 damage to unarmored areas on Support/Assault/AT, entire body of other kits (5 hits to kill)
=14 damage for hits to armored torso (Support/Assault/AT) (8 hits to kill)

oh here's another way. Have a buddy squad member (pref on Vent/Teamspeak) lure them to the TV Station flag on a semi packed (64 player map always!!) server. As they go after him, booyah, knife them from behind. So easy. I didn't do this to get mine as I just ran around on Warlord to get it. But a buddy and I did this tactic to get his basic and he got it in like 2 minutes. He also got his pistol badge in like 2 minutes on the same server during the same game. It was so funny.

i found that a knife and pistol server works good too!be a medic and u can rack up those med points too!
