No. It was correct as written.

The country gets tech return from military R&D, as well--which is mostly in the private sector.

But I agree NASA should get more funding and DoD less. In fact, our entire budgetary prioritization scheme needs to be revamped, from the ground up.

and before anyone attacks me, I have no problem with welfare in and of itself, I do have a problem with people who abuse it

So would I... but there needs to be cuts everywhere. I'd love to see us become a truly space faring species in my life time, but I know it won't happen.

My buddy helped setup Endeavours Avionic Displays for this launch. He was working with Astronaut Tracy Caldwell. He also worked the launch countdown in the launch control center for this mission. I'm not sure where he'll be after this year.

I was gonna say he could probably get something nice at a defense contractor.

Maybe Space X .. or somewhere else at NASA. They are still developing other programs.
