Karma: The system that BF2S users have become oh so enamoured with. But what is karma, where does it come from and where is it going? In the following paragraphs, I will evaluate the causes of this phenomena its unpleasant side effect(s):virginity.

"Karma(meaning action, effect, destiny) is a term that comprises the entire cycle of cause and effect. Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The effects of all deeds actively create present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain in others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well."

First, as a christian, I must express my disdain at being forced to use a system bearing a name central to buddhism. BF2S is deliberatley pushing a subversive pro-buddhist agenda, and I will see to it that the Christian Coalition finds out about this terrible miscarriage of religious equality. Go jesus.

We've seen the karma system grow and bear fruit within the past few weeks. Now, if you dislike someone or what they post, you can knock one point off their nonsensical and superfluous total, thereby putting the fear of god into posters as flamers can't stand going into negative numbers since they have yet to grasp the concept of integers. By forcing posters to answer to their peers, we are ensuring a consistent quality in the posts of BF2S:shit. But, unfortunatley, this system of relaxed external moderation but increased auto-moderation of the community through karma has one glaring flaw. It is strongly reminiscent of a socialist commune. Enjoy your lack of toilet paper, you pinkos.

With the advent of the karma system has come one abhorrent travesty: karma padding. Yes, the karma padding ring is being aired out. Those BF2 stat padder undercover detectives, who astutely trawl the profiles of every PID they can get their small, sweaty and smelly hands on, will be pleased by the creation of http://www.bf2sfairness.com. Here you can spend inordinate amounts of your time outing those who have personally wronged you by bettering their karma.

Unfortunatley, if you are reading this, you are most likely a karma padder. Just think about it. If your profile says "+1 me and I will +1 you", you are a karma padder. You are unfairly increasing your karma by engaging in mutual beneficial agreements with others to inflate your (karma) rankings. For shame. The ramifications of your sins cannot be grasped without shuddering due to the realization that you are never, ever, going to get any action, at all.

Well, I'm bored and this box of juicy cheez-its isn't going to eat itself. Part 2 of this astounding revelation and piece of award winning muckraking to come.

Umm.... Buddhism uses a different word... Hinduism is karma.

I am Christian also, I really dont care for karma, but whatever. To be a Christian, you didnt even capitalize it....

Go eat your cheez-its.

EDIT: Who cares if you are a karma padder, I certainly dont. It doesnt hurt you.

I say be gone with it. Stats gave bf2 players some amount of greed and not play for fun. These forums might take the same twist.

I didn't make it past the "go jesus" part.

It's supposed to be a deterrent of some sort to the assholes who just post negative crap all the time. It's not a religious inducing prophecy, dipshit.

I do not really give a .... about person's karma.  I look at his posts. If I like this person I do not care if he has -10000. Karma is for fun... and for free... I was posting here before karma system and will after, and I am sure that many people will.

Btw. It has nothing to do with religion

This Karma thing is very similar to Vbulletin's reputation system.  I was on a message board that had the rep system turned on and it just became a huge way for people to be passive agressive to eachother (it was anon vs karma not being anon.)

Either way, pretty silly IMO.
