Maybe I'm reading this wrong but it seems you made a jump from one thing to another. I didn't see anywhere in his quoted text where he said "the rich don't pay taxes" or "tax the rich more". How is not not wanting to lower taxes equivalent to taxing people more?

Really, keep the current historically low tax rates but don't drop them any lower.
