So we played our third gig with Trial Kennedy tonight, down the Gold Coast.
I left early to head to a party, halfway back I get a text saying that Ian Kenny (singer of Birds of Tokyo and Karnivool) is there at the gig I had left half an hour beforehand, and by the time I arrived at the party he's apparently hanging out backstage with the rest of my band mates, chatting and having beers etc. He's like the muso in Australia I've most wanted to meet. FML

Turns out he saw our set and liked it. The band was doing tequila shots with him. Our singer is now FB friends with his girlfriend and he just moved to the Gold Coast. So maybe I might meet him one day.
