Anyone else pissed that you can't upgrade your secondary weapon (pistol)? you can upgrade your main weapon but why cant you upgrade the pistol as well? the 9mm doesnt seem to me to be a very good back up weapon at all. 9mm's have very little stopping power compared to heavier slugs like .45 or the .50 Wouldn't it be cool to have a .357 Magnum revolver? or go the Dirty Harry route and have a .44? yes i know its modern combat so a revolver would probably seem a little stupid, but you can't deny that it is way more powerful than the 9mm. the 1911 .45 should've definitely been an unlock considering our special forces use them today! And the US army is going back to the 1911 because they consider the 9mm to be ineffective at stopping opponents. anyone esle think they should've included pistol upgrades? If so, what kind of pistols would you have like to have seen in the game.

Better hit them with the first shot with the .50 cal pistol. After that forget rapid fire, unless you just want to give them warning shots.
Use it in a crowded area! That way if you don't hit the guy your aiming at you can at least splatter his buddies around him! lol

Was kinda dumb on EA/Dice's part fer the SEAL's sidearm, they would be using HK .45ACP now. The .45 should have been an unlock to begin with.
I would realy like to see a pistol like the SOCOM.

The Israelian army uses Dessert Eagle .50 as their side arm....

the Desert Eagle would be a very nice unlock.
A .50 Desert Eagle, that would be my choice for a pistol unlock. If they couldn't do that though, a nice chrome M1911 Colt .45 would be cool. The D.E. would be a fair unlock since it does more damage but makes more recoil than a 9mm and has a 7 round mag.

well... as cool as the idea of unlocking a new pistol sounds... I don't think it's possible the way that the game is designed right now. The only way you would be able to use this pistol is if it replaced your main gun. Which would suck terribly. So, maybe in 2142 or BF3.
You could just upgrade your pistol if you get pistol medals and when you change class you know how there is a weapon switch button for your main gun just do another button for your pistol.
I think this is an awesome idea, what about a glock with a 3 round burst option? Or trade it for something else, extra grenades, ammo, 1 use medkit?
I'd go for a Desert Eagle.
