~ I promise, I used Search... and I didn't find anything, so I turn to the community for help...
Recently, I had a big problem ~~> A CD-key validation error. After probably an hour straight of trawling through EAs shoddy excuse for online technical support, I finally found a solution: a complete uninstall and reinstall of my game (argh! That's a few more hours down the drain).
So, while doing the un-/re- install, I figured I could also install my new wireless router (A Linksys WRT54GS v.5, in case it ends up being helpful for problem-solving) since the multi-CD install would take a while.
Now that I'm back up and running (game's working and router's set up), whenever I go to "Update Server" in my multiplayer menu in-game, it zips through finding a few hundred servers, then lags, then finds like 10-50 more then lags hard so I stop it from searching. At best these days, it's only returning 900+ servers to choose from.
This is my problem.
I USED to get 3000+ servers on that menu.
Is this a bug/glitch? Is it my new router? What could be wrong here??
I'll take any thoughts and suggestions I can to get it working again!
