I'm getting taken to court over negative feedback.

Long story short, ordered a 99p audio cable from ebay, never received it. Left negative feedback.

Got this email today

Dear ibanez2606,

Afternoon,

Its been brough to our attention you have libelled us in feedback, prior to instructing solicitors to take this to court for damages and removal of the feedback.

Can we ask why did you just not communicate with us if there was a problem like our normal customers do, instead of making us take you to court?

It would be like a company bitching because you disliked their commercial on youtube, only here the stakes are a bit higher, namely: You not receiving your cable as promised.

I have no idea what ebays rules are on giving negative feedback, but im assuming you can give it for every reason you want and they can request you take it down, but tehy cant drag you to court for it.

I'dd say: Laugh at em.

lol, idiots. they should have sent you the cable for free(what's 99p compared to a negative feedback) and asked you to take down the comment or revise it. they're definitely going to spend way more taking you to court then it would have been to go a different route with this situation. then again, they're probably trying to scare you into taking down the comment. either way, horrible management by the company.

Hi there,

I left negative feedback because I didn't receive the item I paid for, and since it was only 99p, I didn't feel the need to chase it up.

If you are taking me to court to remove the negative feedback so that your company's reputation is left untarnished, might I suggest to you that you actually send your customers the items they have paid for?

Maybe in future this would clear up any problems.

You can change feedback on ebay can't you? I think they are just trying to intimidate you onto changing it. Probably worked on someone before so they keep trying it.

They can't do anything about it other than leaving neg feedback for you.
