Frankly I prefer that people abuse the karma system, it ends up showing the true nature of some of the users on the site. It also gives us more reasons to ban them from the forums. Eventually all of those tards will weed themselves out by putting racist and attacking comments on their karma.

There are people who's entire existence is to shit in someone's Cheerios every morning. Every forum board draws these smaktards to the board like flies to the shit they spew. Doesn't make it any better, just means that we will never be free of the morons.

Hell, I know of one guy who loves to get banned from IRC channels and forum boards, he has it down to a science and can do it in a day or less. I will never understand the need to do such a thing, maybe his mother didn't love him enough. Or more likely she dropped him on his water logged head as a baby and laughed about it to his face.

I myself like the fact that I have positive karma and I read every reason said karma was given. Some times I even pay attention to why it was given to me.

I make it a point of giving +1 to people who post about some random 8 year old who anonymously negative karma'd them as a form of debate or disagreement.

It's especially classic in the debate section, for someone not to agree with a post you make, and rather than debate your post (as is moderately typical in the debate forum) they just give you -1 and leave some snotty comment about how my opinion sucks.

The Karma system is far from perfect, all you can do it hope to avoid the smacktards. In comparison to BF2 in general, they are very similiar.

The random negative karma feels like I just teamkilled someone by running them over with my plane during takeoff.

I think the only agression in the karma system is from Nyte. Nyte's thread about "performing the C4 reversal trick in armor properly" i posted a comment about it being the "oldest trick in the book" and got -1 from nyte and something about being called a twat. LoL Anywho don't give me +-karma just argue with me. when u want to give spec op advice show us those expert badges and a little more then 25 hrs in armor. *cough* nyte.
