Ah well, time will tell. I wouldn't really mind changing locations every once and a while.Kampframmer wrote:

Oudemanhuispoort??
But because the study ahs gotten so large you might have to go to roeterseiland sometimes because the lecture halls in oudemanhuispoort are pretty small.

yyy CS is a clusterfuck
my bike got stolen so I'm doing everything by bus now. Don't mind it though, just 1 transfer.
If I'm going to my dad's place its terrible, 2 buses & 2 trains, if any of them get stalled I'm an hour late. Lives in some tiny bible belt village.

The delay i've found with the state ones is seeing a specialist, my brother had inner ear problems and was waiting for a year or so to see someone about it only to be referred to another unit with another year waiting list. I found the same with orthadontists.Uzique wrote:
yeah there's a conception that the state has long queues and a more rushed service... which obviously has some truth, because there's so many more waiting patients and so much more work to do. plus there's all sorts of bureaucracy about meeting targets - as inevitable when you answer to someone higher in the management-scale (most private dentists are self-owned practices). i coulda got in with an NHS state dentist tomorrow morning, but because i was in so much pain and this particular abscess has blown up so much, i opted to spend 5x the money to save 24hours. nothing wrong with state, though, in my opinion. no criticism here.Shocking wrote:
Hard to believe the private ones are keeping their business going if it's more than double the price to go there for the same treatment.
Not that I have any complaints with the NHS at all really, they do a pretty good job with what they have.
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
I've never had absurdly long wait times for medical emergencies. When I had appendicitis, I was seen within 40 minutes of arriving to the ER, and I think within 2 hours of arriving they arrived at a diagnosis (they were fairly certain it was appendicitis but they did a CT scan to make sure). Went to sleep and in the morning I had it removed by their "A" team of specialists no less.
I have however heard the stories of people waiting ages in Canada and England for pretty important stuff. Any truth to that?

Have to get on the tram, then metro and then the train. And I just hate public transport.RDMC wrote:

Got lucky and ended up at an exit that was closest to where i needed to be.
not really. but of course it does happen. you won't be left to die on the stretcher of appendicitis, don't worry.

espically the car window .... someone had switched their old jeans for a new pair of levis in my store and as they darted out the store I saw the old jeans laying in the dressing room, I ran out to get hold of them, they had to brake before leaving the parking lot and that gave me the split second I needed to bust out the back window of isuzu rodeo
nice
I feel like SERE would swing a redwood.

You could just sell the old jeans for twice as much if you list them as vintage. win win
No need to punch car windows, silly.
