you can carry a knife if it's being used as a tool, of course. over here carrying weapons falls into a category of crime known as 'state of affairs', i.e. a crime depending on the context of you being searched or arrested. caught carrying a pocket knife in the queue for a club on a saturday night? in trouble. caught with a knife pruning in your back garden, or carrying one in the woods? fine.13rin wrote:

I'm a Southerner.... Basically it is the norm to carry a pocketknife. Not for reasons of only personal protection, but in case things need cutting.... How about multi-tools like a leatherman (pliers, file, can opener & knife) then?
