"great pics....what kind of camera were you using?"
why do people tend to assume the camera makes the shot??? argh

i got stopped on the Strip, new years eve. this guy and his girl said "hey, that's a nice camera, does it take nice pictures?" so i showed them what was on my card, thru the lil 3" display on the back off my camera.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

I'm looking for a new bag. I'm thinking about one of these.

It quickly goes from back to front for easy quick access.
That honestly looks like you're a new father.Kmar wrote:

When its in the front yes. You wouldnt leave ot there.. It slides quickly from back to front and from side to side. I'm all about quick access and I dont think there's a bag that is faster for getting to your equipment without taking the bag off.tazz. wrote:

@ burns i have them both also!! i love the 100 series. . got the 200 a few months ago for bday so i can compare
200 is not that great for hiking but if you need moar stuff with you like a big azz lens and tripod it does the jobby.. when you sling aruond the 200 the zipper flap is big and it's not very easy to just grab a lens out of the lil section it's in. I can fit my camera into the top section of the 200, it's big.
the 100 is the sex. it is convenience. and small. quick draw!
@kmar that triangle bag looks funny o.O
I'm thinking about hiking over the summer. That just seems like too much to carry around.13urnzz wrote:
i'm using lowe pro slings right now. i've worn the zipper out on the 100, and the 200 just seems too big.

Right now I'm dealing with a simple over the shoulder bag.. it's roomy, but it gets uncomfortable through out the day.
Another Kata I'd consider

Wont you need every bit of reach you can get? Or are you more interested in wide angle shots?Kmar wrote:
I'm thinking about renting a 5d MKII for my trip to the cape (last shuttle launch).
Wide angle is typically better for shuttle launches. I think the most interesting photos are the ones that capture the landscape as well. Plus there will be a massive crowd (nearly 1 million people). I would like to be able to quickly snag on-lookers gawking alsol.Wallpaper wrote:

oh wow 10 hours wait? you gotta really be dedicated :$Kmar wrote:
Reconsidering my trek to the cape. No rooms avail and sitting in 10 hours of traffic is not something i want to do.
